Location: Panama City

Good morning, afternoon, or night from wherever you’re reading this. I hope everyone is doing great and is excited to read the next installment in the Argo ’24 blogs.

The crew started their mornings with a delicious breakfast prepared by Head Chef Sandra. We then headed into the city to the local fish markets, where we learned about fisheries and sustainable fishing. Next, we got to explore the Old Town of Panama City, which has beautiful architecture and lots of culture. Some of us (Sandra, Olivia, Pieter, Anna, Melina, Kelsey, and myself) had a lovely lunch in the Old Town. While others decided to head into the city and explore around there. Eventually, we all made it to the mall (shocker), and some (most) of us went on shopping sprees, bought Legos (Big Mike, Klay, and Max), and did some self-provisioning. After that fun ended, we headed back to the dock at 3:30 PM for shuttles back to the boat. Once we got back, we started on the largest provisioning-put-away of the trip, courtesy of Claire. Overall, it was a great day exploring Panama City, and I know we all hope to get back here one day.

Thank you for reading this blog, and I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day.

Per special request, Kelsey would like to note that she and I held hands and galloped carelessly through the bright lights of the mall hallways.

Per special special request, Peiter is great, and we all love him (he totally did not bribe me to write this).
