Location: Great Harbour, Peter Island, BVI
Hard to say when yesterday ended and today began because of our night passage, but when we woke up, we were back in the BVI! So strange to think we are back where we started 35 days ago. In the morning, we shuttled over to the famous baths, which are natural rock structures that create these cool inlets off the beach. We explored in and around the rocks and then all took turns jumping from a small cliff into the water, and using Ian’s ankles as a way to climb back up the side of the rock. After we had all jumped, a few times we climbed our way to the top of the higher parts and got an amazing view of the BVIs. Shelby and I channeled our inner Tarzan and used tree vines to climb some of the way. No one wanted to leave, but it was worth it because it meant we could go dive the wreck of the Royal Mail Ship Rhone. This wreck is known all over the BVI and is considered one of the coolest dive spots in the Caribbean. In small groups we took turns diving the site and got to go through cool swim throughs where we could see the inside of the entire ship. It was super awesome, but I’m a little mad that I missed seeing a shark by about 5 seconds. We moved to Ocean Star’s personal mooring and spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on sleep, studying, and just preparing to make the most of our last few days together on O-Star.
