Location: Soufriere, St. Lucia
This morning the crew started the day with an early wake-up. Right after breakfast, we all got our SCUBA kits ready to dive right next to Petit Piton in the beautiful St. Lucia. We had a park ranger from the SMMA come aboard and teach us all about the history of the reefs we were about to see and the conservation efforts put in place to keep the waters as pretty as they are! The dive site was aptly named Superman’s Flight as we soon found out because there was a strong current running along the reef, so we were able just to drift along. Those of us working towards our advanced open water certification also used this as a fish identification dive! After the dive, the crew used our free time to work on assignments and study for exams!
