Today some of Ocean Star’s crew started their morning very early and landed themselves on the dock just in time to watch the moon set. These brave souls set out to catch the sunrise by hiking up to the top of La Chamaeu. They watched the sunrise out of the east as they reached the top of the hill and then continued over to a 1700’s era abandoned French outpost. When the crew got back to the ship, they had huge smiles when they saw that we were having some French pastries and baguettes for breakfast. After breakfast we had a marine biology class and then set up to go scuba diving for research on our projects coming up. After the research dive we had lunch and some time to rest before some of the crew got back into the water to continue there rescue and advanced open water scuba certifications. After the crew returned back from their dives, it was time to get some work done before dinner was served. Leader ship class is the final item on the agenda tonight, and then it is off to our bunks following a busy, busy day.
