Location: San Blas

Hello everyone! Today was a long day, but more importantly, a great day. As skipper, my job is to wake everyone up, and today, I choose to blast the Apple radar alarm through a speaker. This was met with pure hatred. Sorry ;). We had breakfast, which was eggs and bagels, thank you Jake. Then we hopped onto the tour boat that took us around one of the villages/main islands. Once we got to the island, we were greeted by local children who loved Morgan G and Emma. Our tour guide talked to us about the local history of the island and the history of San Blas. While we walked around the village, we saw their school, basketball court, and houses. It was so amazing to walk around one of the main inhabited islands and get a close look at their culture. The little girls showed us their dogs, Max and Bob. The dogs were so cute and so small! We then took a boat ride through crashing waves to another island. This island had a volleyball court, lots of hammocks, and ice-cold beverages. Everyone played volleyball, and then we ate lunch. We had plantains, chicken or fish, rice, and chilled Coca-Cola. Always a good meal when we dont have to cook it ourselves and do cleanup after.

Later on the island, everyone split into groups to either snorkel, walk around, lay in hammocks, or, of course, more volleyball. I choose to lay in a hammock, I took a little nap and then woke up to play water games with Mac, Caro, Harrison, Graham, Brooks, Paloma, Harry, Henry, and James. A lot of people went back to the boat to work on schoolwork and get other miscellaneous things done, like cooking us dinner. I stayed on the island with Harrison, Harry, Paloma, Caro, Mac, and Ben because why not? We played basketball, needless to say none of us are making it to the NBA, and we found a swing. We then made our way back to the boat a couple of hours later, right in time for dinner. Dinner was spaghetti with meatballs. It was very good and everyone enjoyed it, thank you again head chef Jake.

After dinner, most people got ready to go back to the island for a night out, and some of us, Graham and I, stayed on the boat to get some work done. The island was having karaoke night, and everyone was getting really excited! When everyone had left for karaoke, there was only one thing for Brooke, Claire, Emma, Sam, and me to do: go night snorkeling with dolphins. As I was doing my laundry, I heard Graham yell that there were dolphins at the stern (back of the boat). We all quickly abandoned what we were working on and ran to see them. There were at least 6, maybe even 7, swimming around. After watching them for a bit, we decided to jump in and swim with them! It was incredible and such an amazing experience and the perfect way to end the day.
