Location: Bonaire
Bonaire has been absolutely beautiful! The day started with a delicious serving of blueberry pie oats courtesy of our head provisioner, Emma. We jumped right into our Seamanship class where we learned more specifics about Vela and how to properly handle the boat. Ben had three dives planned today, one after each meal, one of which includes a night dive we have yet to go on. The first group consisted of Liam, Harry, Maya W, Morgan C, Graham, James, and Brooks(me). The people who didnt go on the first dive were allowed shore time. Most of them used this time to do their laundry, like Jake and Palom, who I saw cruising by on scooters with bags over their shoulders. Lunch consisted of a Turkey BLT bar that was very easy to put together, and the second dive with Maisy, Maya W, Jake, Morgan G, Carolina, Jay, and Harrison commenced shortly after a great leadership presentation by Henry and Liam. I used this time to get my laundry done and check out the local stores with Harry and James (my fellow mountain goats). Dinner was even better than breakfast with Harissa Honey Chicken bowls. The rice with turmeric was positively scrumptious. I cant wait to see what my first night dive will be like. This trip has been so baller, but I miss my family, and I cant wait to see them again!
