This Friday, the 7th, Vela began with a Parfait Breakfast that was gas. After that, the two Scuba Classes (Pre-Cert and Non-Cert) split up for the pre-certified crewmembers of Vela to conduct an “Open Water One Dive” beneath the boat. We saw Conch organisms, starfish, and various small marine life up to 25 feet in depth.

The Open Water Students conducted a 4-hour dive training, practicing beginner skills and techniques while Scuba Diving. (I wasn’t there so IDRK) They took the dinghy to Pigeon Beach at the mouth of Falmouth Harbor, and they seemed to have been Jonesin.

Today was a pretty chill day our fridge I think is broken so we had “Mr. Fridge” come buy in a zodiac to check it out, I think its okay now. We saw a bunch of sea turtles swimming around and along the boat, and I jumped in and swam up to one. They’re pretty cool. The Pre-Cert Students were kinda just hanging out in and around the boat, we played chess and uno, went swimming, and tanned. Apparently, the others were in the water consecutively for 4 hours, so that’s tough. Basically, as Ben put it “chilling on a yacht in the Caribbean.” So basically, we are just jonesin’ with the crew, learning a lot, and livin’ it up in the fast lane. Also, I heard Harrison’s dad is from Coronado; so much respect from a fellow islander out here. Anyway, I’ll see Mom and Dad, The boys, raising canes, and Maya maybe; I do when I return, but we’re all just having a party out here, so yeah, we ball.
