WHAT’S UP GUYS!!!!!!!! It’s been 22 days since I was last skipper, and I finally got to make my dream a reality of waking everyone up to a drunken sailor! We were surprised this morning with green eggs for St Patrick’s Day (credits to Liam), and I made sure to dress in all green and STILL got pinched!!! After breakfast, we had our oceanography midterm exam, then Leadership class, in which I was helping the sous chef set up chicken Caesar bowls.
We are waiting for new sails to come in before we can set sail for the Galapagos, so we’ve been on standby waiting for them to come in. I can’t wait to get going. The Galapagos are a huge part of what drew me into this trip, and I also just love sailing in general. The academics have been ramping up lately, so it’s been nice to have some free time to catch up on sleep and assignments. I took a great nap and feel like a brand-new person.
Hi, my name is Morgan I am an emergency first responder, may I help you? This afternoon, we started EFR (emergency first responder training). This is our first step in becoming rescue divers!!! We watched videos and took a knowledge review. The videos had some funny parts in them, too, so it was pretty entertaining.
I helped chef up dinner as well, we ate homemade Chipotle bowls which were pretty great.
The past week has been awesome and also chaotic. The canal is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. My phone lives in the Atlantic, and there was an incident involving mayo and my bed sheets. With all that, I really am having fun and just going with the flow, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next.
Until next time,
Morgan C
