Location: Underway to San Blas Islands
While facing the strongest sea state and wind conditions of the trip so far, the crew of S/Y Argo continued their sail from Bonaire to Panamas secluded San Blas Islands.
As is normal during passage life, our first organized activity of the day was a deliciously prepared lunch by our chef team of Sophie, Meg, and London. We believed wed be having a class directly after lunch. However, we were surprised by Bryant, the captain with a General Alarm drill, which had us break up into watch teams to review our responsibilities in the event of an emergency. We had an Oceanography quiz and Seamanship class after the drill, and it seemed like everyone did great! After class, we broke back into watch teams; some took a very well deserved nap while watch team 1, composed of Jenna, Drake, Bianca, Kai, Peter and myself took control of the vessel until dinner time. Well be running watch schedule through the night tonight hoping for some more stellar sailing conditions and wave surfing on Argo.
Until next time!
