Location: Les Saintes

The crew of the STV Vela greeted the morning to Nappy Roots summer anthem hit, Good Day and it was, in fact, a good day.
Pancakes for breakfast. Need I say more?
After enjoying these tasty rounds fabricated by fine chefs Harry, Graham, and Jay, and after cleaning up the mess they made, the crew split off into two groups for the morning. Liam, Maya L, Morgan G, Paloma, Maya W, Graham, James, and I were dispatched to frolic and shop around Les Saints while Carolina, Brooks, Harry, Harrison, Morgan C, Jay, Jake, and Maisy took their second and third open water dives. Reportedly, they were pretty sick. Les Saints was its usual charming, unique self: a Caribbean island with goats everywhere and tourist traps as far as the eye can see, but with a strong hint of France. Stereotypical Euro/French people, artisan restaurants, and, oh boy, the bakeries. DAMN, can the French make bread?
Lunch, which the chefs made telepathically (they were diving), was a delectable interpretation of nachos. Ground turkey and ground beef together was a surprisingly good combo.
After lunch, the groups flipped divers went to shore and shore people? Went for a dive. After loading up the dinghy, we found ourselves on the way to the dive site. The site was close to a popular public beach, which meant (almost comically) spatially unaware French snorkelers were everywhere. Emma did a wonderful job of maneuvering the dinghy around them, and we were in the water in no time.
Before I said the dive was reportedly sick I can say now, with firsthand experience, that it was freaking awesome. The coral was beautiful, and I saw many fish that I recognized (and many more that I did not). The water was incredibly clear, and we found some sweet shells. For my third dive ever, it was not bad at all.
After cleaning and putting away dive gear, we chilled and jammed out with the chefs, who were busy stressing over dinner. A beautiful sunset, the return of the shorers? And some chill time later, and dinner was served. Gotta love potatoes and chicken (and hot sauce, of course).
We watched the full moon rise in between the mountains (hills?) of Les Saints, cleaned up, and now Im here, writing this blog. Hope ya enjoyed it.

To Robbie, the man- I cant believe you are keeping your car choice a secret, but you know damn well im stoked to see what it is to the greatest summer of our lives.
To Bryn- I love you, my pretty girl.
And Finally, to the rents for making this all possible and for pushing me no matter what. I love you guys.
