Location: Underway to San Blas

Gday from your resident Aussie,
The day started early with a 3:30 am wakeup for the 4-8 am watch. Sam led the charge with helming as we arose to a vastly rougher sea state than when we went to bed. A large cargo ship was headed in our direction, but Sams helming and Macs communication led us just under a mile from them as we crossed their bow. The rest of watch went smoothly with some interesting games and questions that. Once we reached our next waypoint, it was time to jibe. Everyone pitched in with sail management, and Mac talked me through helming my first jibe, which was fortunately successful. James, Harrison, and Paloma cooked up a great lunch of roasted sweet potatoes with cheese, beans, and sour cream, which was loved by even those of us who dont like sweet potatoes. Marine Bio and Leadership followed with an intriguing presentation from Brooks about leading with integrity. Watch team 3 had watch again from 2-6 pm, and many sat with us as we learned some knots. Round 2 in the galley went well, with James eagerness to serve us his Costa Rican pork dish. It was worth the hype. Overall, it was a good passage day.

Hoping my parents and anyone back home are well, and I guess my brother, too.
Cheers.
